Spice 2012

Join us for a celebration of faith and education. S.P.I.C.E. brings together teachers from across the province to explore the dynamics of being a Catholic educator and what that means for your teaching practice.

This year we are extremely excited to bring well-known and respected keynote speaker, Jesse Manibusan, to S.P.I.C.E. Jesse will walk teachers through the theme of The Life We Are Living, focusing on the call to faithfulness in your lives and in your classrooms. Drawing on the idea of faith as our compass, Jesse uses his personal faith journey with Jesus to have you explore where your compass is pointing and how you move courageously forward as a witness of faith to evangelize with the others you encounter. S.P.I.C.E. promises to be a rewarding weekend of song and prayer and learning.

Jesse Manibusan

Jesse Manibusan is the co-founder of 2by2 Ministries, with his wife, Jodi. Their ministry is a ministry of evangelization and encouragement, using music, spoken word, movement, drama and humour.
Jodi manages the ministry full time, while Jesse presents programs to folks of all ages.
Jesse and Jodi's ministry has visited communities all over the world, including Canada, the United States, Europe, and the Pacific Rim. Jesse has emceed and presented at the National Catholic Youth Conference, the National Conference for Catholic Youth Ministries, and has presented at the LA Religious Education Congress in Anaheim, California, and
Jesse's music is published by Oregon Catholic Press, spiritandsong.com, GIA Publications, and 2by2 Music. Jesse has an MA in Multicultural Ministries from the Franciscan School of Theology, at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
