Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools and the St. Albert Historical Society marked the 100th anniversary of the Brick School (Father Mérer School) with a homecoming celebration and dedication of an historical marker that commemorates the actual site of the former school. The marker features three descriptions (Cree, English, French) commemorating the 100th anniversary of St. Albert's first stand-alone public school building that reflects a legacy of Catholic public education spanning 145 years.
